Defending Tour de France champion, Vincenzo Nibali (Astana Pro Team) has won his second consecutive Italian national road race title after beating Francesco Reda (Team Idea) and Diego Ulissi (Lampre-Merida) in the 219km road race between Legnano and Torino. Nibali rode away from his challengers on the final climb.
Vincenzo Nibali will start next weekends Tour de France as one of the four favourites to win along with Alberto Contador, Nairo Quintana and Chris Froome.
