Bryton announced two new GPS bike computers at the Taipei International Cycle Show in March, the Bryton Rider 530 and the Bryton Rider 330. Both models feature full wireless connectivity and navigation that was missing from the Rider 310 that was released earlier this year.
Taipei based Bryton was founded in 2009 and has been building its presence and product lineup in the cycling, multisport and outdoor adventure markets with a range of Rider GPS bike computers and Amis and Cardio series GPS sports watches.
The Rider 530 allows you to create map routes from either of previous ride history, from the Plan Trip function in the Bryton App or using a third party website like Ride with GPS, Strava or any other that allows .gpx file downloads.
Bryton Rider 530 and Rider 330 Features
The Rider 530 will display up to 12 data fields and connects via ANT+ to heart rate straps, cadence and speed sensors as well as power meters and records at 1 second intervals and also supports call and text notifications via Bluetooth Smart. The Rider 530 has a 2.6″ (6.6cm) diagonal screen and has an incredible battery life of up to 33 hours and has the Bryton auto start/stop feature.
The Rider 530 also supports wireless uploading of rides direct to Strava and MSRP for the Bryton Rider 530 is $179.95.
The Rider 330 is aimed more towards mountain bike riders and has a smaller 1.8″ (4.6cm) diagonal screen and supports up to 8 data fields, battery life is up to 36 hours.
The Rider 330 also connects to ANT+ sensors and has the Bryton auto start/stop feature and like the Rider 530 – has a digital compass available on the device.
