BMC has launched a new endurance range named the BMC Roadmachine that will sit in between the Teammachine and Granfondo series bikes aimed at riders who want a bit of everything in one bike.

There are three models in the BMC Roadmachine range, all feature disc brakes and there’s various build options in each model including carbon and aluminium frames and groupsets from Shimano Tiagra up to Dura-Ace Di2.

BMC Roadmachine range

The top of the range BMC Roadmachine 01 has the premium TCC 01 carbon frame and fork and is available in three different builds and colours, there’s a Dura-Ace Di2 model, Ultegra Di2 and Ultegra 6800 models as well as a a bare frameset. Disc brakes are flat mount hydraulic Shimano BR-RS805 using 160mm discs at the front and 140mm rear and the DT Swiss wheels use 12mm thru-axles.

The Roadmachine 01 bikes all use the dual stack BMC integrated cockpit to keep cabling and brake lines hidden from view.

The Roadmachine 02 bikes use TCC 02 Carbon in the framesets and similar to the Roadmachine 01 there are three different colours and groupsets with Ultegra Di2, Ultegra and 105. The Roadmachine 02 uses the same Shimano BR-RS805 disc brakes and integrated cockpit but use 3T wheels instead of DT Swiss.

Both the BMC Roadmachine 01 and Roadmachine 02 will take tyres up to 30mm and have braze on mounts and integrated chain catchers.

The Roadmachine 03 features an aluminium frame with carbon fork, it uses Shimano BR-RS505 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors front and rear. There are two models and colours, one has the Shimano 105 groupset the other has Tiagra. The Roadmachine 03 uses Novatec wheels with 12mm thru axle.

The Roadmachine 03 will take up to 32mm tyres.

If the UCI hadn’t suspended the disc brake trial it’s likely we would have seen this bike raced at the Tour de Suisse and races leading up to the Tour de France along with new Canyon and Specialized disc models but any return to racing looks unlikely until later in the year.

Prices and full specifications are available on the BMC Switzerland site.
