Watch the replay as Sir Bradley Wiggins of Great Britain smashes countryman Alex Dowsett’s UCI Hour World Record. Dowsett’s record stood at 52.937km set on 2nd May 2015 in Manchester. Wiggins set a new record of 54.526km in this historic UCI Event. Commentary from Matthew Stephens.

Alex Dowsett breaks the UCI Hour Record

Early last month Alex Dowsett broke the UCI Hour record in front of a packed Manchester Velodrome crowd setting a new hour record of 52.937km. The 26 year old Movistar rider added nearly a half a kilometre to Australian BMC rider Rohan Dennis previous record. Dowsett rode a Canyon Speedmax WHR prototype that ran a Campagnolo Power2Max crankset and Campagnolo disc wheels. Endura enlisted the help of aerodynamics guru Simon Smart to create a special skinsuit for the UCI Hour Record breaking ride.
